DONATE events – using screencasts and images to promote new service

Who:

The National Funding Scheme is a registered charity set up to enable any charitable organisation to fundraise using digital technology via their mobile giving tool called DONATE.

Brief:

To create two videos: one to support a bid application to a major charity funder (filming performance workshops and other cutaway footage at a nationally renowned arts centre), the other to promote a new service – DONATE events – designed to allow individuals to make donations to charitable organisations at live events such as galas, auctions and dinners.

Approach:

For the promotional video, I used a combination of existing images taken from one of the charity’s previous events plus screencast recordings showing how the mobile tool works. I then interviewed the founder explaining benefits of the new service and used this as the main narrative for the video.
